NYPD probes death of girl at homeless shelter

Authorities are investigating the death of a 4-year-old girl at a homeless shelter in Queens. Police say the child, identified as Lanaysah Meraldo, was found unconscious and unresponsive just before 1 p.m. Thursday at the Briarwood Family Residence on 134th Street.
