The Heckscher Museum of Art presents the 2022 Long Island Biennial, a prestigious juried exhibition featuring works by contemporary artists from Suffolk and Nassau Counties. The Museum received 732 artwork entries, with three jurors selecting 97 works for exhibition. There are 57 artists in the exhibition, representing communities stretching from Freeport to Lynbrook to East Hampton. The Biennial presents a remarkable variety of styles spanning abstraction to hyperrealism. See exhibiting artists engage with issues such as social justice, health, and ecology, and bring new approaches to traditional materials and techniques. Featured artists include Edgar Moza, Fernando Carpaneda, Lauren Skelly Bailey, Vernon McAuley and many others.
