Smoke condition draws emergency response to Grand Central Terminal

MANHATTAN — A smoke condition at Grand Central Terminal called emergency crews to the transit hub Wednesday and disrupted the movements of New Yorkers traveling through midtown as the workday began.

Photos from the scene show emergency personnel and throngs of people outside Grand Central on Lexington Avenue near 43rd Street.

The fire has been deemed a second alarm. No further details were immediately available.
