NYC’s Newest Speakeasy Is a BBQ Steakhouse || Eat Seeker – NYC Video

When Franco Vlasic and Nathan Lithgow set out to open Holy Ground in NYC, they knew they weren’t going to be the most traditional barbecue place. In fact, as two outsiders to the cuisine, they decided they could really push the bounds on what was considered to be barbecue. Whether that be smoking a prime rib for two hours, plating up healthy sides like their broccoli salad, or serving flaming hot Manhattan wings. With Holy Ground, Vlasic and Lithgow have managed to combine the best elements of a steakhouse with the best elements of a barbecue joint in one speakeasy space.

Eat Seeker gets right to the meat of a restaurant’s story. Each episode focuses on a single chef or owner from some of the best, most innovative restaurants all across the country and gives you a behind-the-counter look at their process and how they make some some of the most exciting dishes in America. From Michelin star restaurants to tacos trucks and pizza shops, we got you covered. What is the chef’s vision, and how do they make it happen? What’s the story behind the food? What’s the food behind the story?
