Green Book won a pair of Golden Globe awards last weekend (including one for Best Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy), and hopefully everyone involved with the film got to enjoy that triumphant moment for the racial dramedy. Because this week has been filled with nothing but controversies old and new for the movie, with its Oscar chances taking a big hit. There have been accusations of white washing the story, apologies over sexual harassment jokes, and today, screenwriter Nick Vallelonga deleted his entire Twitter account after it emerged that he had tweeted in 2015 that he saw “Muslims in Jersey City cheering” when the World Trade Center towers collapsed on 9/11.
