  3. Sad for the Pilot, but how come the building didn’t collapse in on its own footprint? and have they found any passports? And also 24 hours later why is there not a full biography of who the pilot was?

  8. But why was the helicopter there in the first place if it was restricted airspace? Nobody answered that question. And why was the helicopter flying in low clouds and heavy rain in restricted airspace? Something is very fishy here

  10. Looking at the video, it would seem that it was spatial disorientation in IMC. The aircraft was not compromised from what I can see. Questions are, was the pilot instrument qualified? A lot of commercial helicopter pilots are not and as an ex fixed wing and then rotary pilot, flying IFR in a helicopter is a very exact science

  12. 911 was a zionist job to start the war on terror and invade and destabilize the middle east.

  13. Officials quickly determined that it was NOT a terrorist attack because the pilot's wallet with his drivers license intact was found on the street and showed that he was white.

  15. No radio contact? He was obviously suicidal flying like that in bad weather with big buildings around.

  20. Yeah they may have gotten the water up there but they definitely didn't do it in record time. That helicopter was a burnt heap by the time they got up there. Rip pilot. They didn't even get close to saving him in time. (Might not have been able to anyways)

They are lucky the building didn't go up or else they would have had a much harder time.

  30. As an instrument rated airplane pilot who has been flying since I was age 16 over 50 years who as also been in helicopters along the Hudson River, I too can not understand what happened here. Since a person on the ground was able to video the helicopter, that means the pilot was also able to see the ground before it went into the clouds. The pilot had prior experience and even had a bird blow out his front window a few years ago, but he was competent enough to make an emergency landing and save everybody. He was also a hero firefighter and a voluntary chief of firefighters according to my initial research.
However, the following is what I do not understand. Why is the video of the "chopper" (I hate that term but I'll use it here because so many people use it) so clear when first observed? Clearly, he was flying under the clouds and had a visual view of the ground after he took off. The video does seem to show some erratic movements before the chopper went into the clouds. Why? Was it from bad weather? Was the pilot having an emergency with his equipment? Was he having a heart attack or some other physical emergency? Please do not listen to the news reporters who argue the pilot did not have a "bad weather" license. It's known as an "instrument rating" and it may not even be relevant to this story because helicopters are given special deviation rules to fly low. Those same rules do not apply to airplanes.
People, please do not come to any conclusions until the NTSB has at least made some preliminary findings. I'm sure there will be a medical examination to determine his condition just before the crash. In honor of his prior heroism as a firefighter and as an experienced chopper pilot, let's give his family the due respect they deserve during this sad time.
The answers will come out eventually. There will be other videos from other sources. Let's not let the news people speculate before we have all the facts.
But I will say this, it appears there was some trouble either mechanically or physically because the chopper did have other alternatives to land. He could have landed in the river or on the beach or somewhere else. Being an experienced pilot, he must have determined the event was so critical that the nearest way to save himself was to land as quickly as possible. To me, that points out that he was experiencing some sort of emergency, whether mechanical or physical. Let's wait. Let's all pray for him and his family.

  31. But according to Ilhan Omar, 911 was "just some people who did something."? So if she's right, why would everyone be afraid it was a terrorist attack and why would Cuomo say that everyone's fear's are the result of PTSD from 911. How can that be as that is in direct conflict with Ilhan-The-Ingrates "something happened" event?"
