Members of the Central Park 5 react to Korey Wise's story in 'When They See Us' – NYC Video



Five men who were wrongfully convicted when they were just teens for the 1989 rape of a jogger in New York City are telling their story through the new Netflix series “When They See Us.”

Two of the five men, who now live in Atlanta, sat down with 11Alive’s LaPorsche Thomas to discuss overcoming trauma, Linda Fairstein, steps toward justice and more.

  2. No matter how physically small Korey may look, might be the "STRONGEST" man walking Earth. Alot of people would have folded if they was in Korey situation and was going through what he went through. I just wish that the men locked up would have helped him out instead of trying to kill him. #WALKINGMIRACLE

  18. Korey is a miracle! Kalief Broder shiwed ys what Rikers can do ti a child (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually). He came home after 3yrs and still could not cope to the point of suicide. RIP to him💜

  27. This was truly amazing to listen to. They both responded so well. I always wondered what they thought about Korey’s pain and how they would respond to all the attention Korey’s story is receiving (with reason). All 5 of these men are inspiring and should never be forgotten.

  29. I wept like a baby, watching this boy going through what he went through in prison. My mind couldn’t rest from that day. I mean the anger that built up inside me, still exist to this day.

  31. This really hurts me so bad everything they went through..Kory did get the worst but I would love to give all of them q big hug I still see them as kids just from the story I cried so much. I have a son is 14 a single mother and I would lose it if this happened to him. God bless you 🙏 all

The young man of the Central Park five they all are survivors all of them are survivors with that being said Cory wise went on the strength of just being a good friend that's it and then come back out until 13 14 years later yo it makes you question loyalty and makes you question friendship sometimes this is so Unthinkable
