Gangbanger posing as cop robbed a drug vendor, raped vendor’s sister

A Brooklyn man who goes by the nickname “Moneybags” was hit with 18 1/2 years in jail Friday for posing as an NYPD cop to rob a drug vendor then rape the pusher’s sister, officers mentioned.

Devone Jefferys, 28, was convicted at trial of theft conspiracy, tried theft of heroin and money, and the illegal use and possession of a firearm for the July 31, 2015, house invasion and rape in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Jefferys, a reputed Bloods gang member,  and his co-defendant impersonated cops once they stormed into the house, their weapons pointed at a pregnant lady who was in labor and the vendor’s mom and sister.

The duo ordered them to lie on the ground and certain them with duct tape. Jefferys ransacked the house trying to find medicine and money, whereas he and his cohort aimed their weapons on the victims’ heads and the pregnant lady’s abdomen, authorities mentioned.

After Jefferys realized that the vendor’s sister tossed a bag of heroin out a window, he dragged her outdoors to an alleyway and raped her, in line with federal prosecutors.

“At the moment’s substantial sentence will defend the neighborhood by incapacitating this violent predator, who inflicted damage and terror upon his victims earlier than he was delivered to justice,” acknowledged Appearing U.S. Legal professional Seth DuCharme.

U.S. District Decide Kiyo Matsumoto handed down the sentence in Brooklyn federal court docket.
